Dr. Michael R. Solomon, M.D. is a graduate of the UCLA School of Medicine, and is the only physician in the Palm Springs, California area to hold both a license in Western medicine as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine. He believes that integrating traditional (allopathic) and non-traditional (complimentary) forms of medicine gives the patient the benefit of cutting-edge technology and knowledge available to physicians as well as the ancient hands-on approaches used in the healing arts for thousands of years. His goals include getting people healthy and off unnecessary medications, increasing quality of life by decreasing illness and increasing their vitality, increasing the awareness and level of responsibility the patient can assume in their own wellness, and educating patients about how to best take care of their bodies.

Successful Aging: The Nine Gates

Most of our current healthcare system is designed to handle acute crisis and after-the-fact solutions vs. addressing prevention and managing chronic illness. An integrative approach blends the best of western medicine and scientific research with traditional Chinese medicine’s active philosophy of health cultivation, maintaining homeostatic reserve and minimizing factors that lead to dysregulation and abnormal flow. The dynamic balance of understanding our health as a whole is the leverage point of aging successfully. Learn the “nine gates” of aging successfully with this interesting, informative and enlightening presentation.

The RIPE Factor™
Combining the ideas of physician and patient commitment in understanding the true basis of disease, whether purely physical or a mind-body disorder, this presentation focuses on the power of Responsible Intention Positive Energy (The RIPE Factor™). The RIPE Factor™ speaks to creating a new standard of wellness by healing the patients’ spirit and reconnecting it with the more tangible real-world problems of patients in maintaining personal responsibility consistently that can, ultimately, lead to issues of disease or disharmony in the body. (This concept has been likened to Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now for physicians.)

Integrative Medicine

With more than 15 years of experience combining the best of Western medicine with the best of Eastern medicine, Dr. Solomon shares how the integration of these very different philosophies can be leveraged for the optimal well-being of the patient. This presentation is ideal for physician / medical community audiences, as well as patient / layman groups.
